Greek Mythology
I sometimes lose my faith in luck (Eros/Psyche) - This is the gift that was written for me, so I am obviously biased, but it’s just a really gorgeous retelling of their story.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine
a distinct lack of tutus (Diaz/Santiago) - One of the best tropes ever -- undercover in a gay bar. Do any of you really need more incentive to click on the link? Is anyone still reading this, or are you all reading the story now? Yeah, I thought so. (But if you do need a gentle nudge, the voice is really perfectly in touch with that of the show, and awesome ladies make out).
The Snow Queen
The Queen of Zeta Boötis (Gerda & Kai) - The Snow Queen in space. How could I have lived so many years without this?
Almost Human
Echo Reply (Dorian/Kennex) - John doesn’t realize that he and Dorian are dating. I’m pretty sure this is just canon. Gets the snarky-but-loving nature of their relationship just right.
A Midsummer Night's Dream
Swifter than arrow from the Tartar’s bow (Puck/Oberon) - Puck is injured as a direct result of mischief. Oberon takes care of him. Help, it’s really cute.
Comic Fandoms
I Always Need to Be Sure of You (Steve & Bucky Bear) - A-Babies vs. X-Babies - Way too cute. Way, way, way, way, way too cute. I can’t handle it. Kind of a Toy Story fusion. I especially love the way baby!Steve is just as noble and marvelous as adult!Steve.
tonight let’s shed our skins (Rictor/Shatterstar) - X-Factor - Missing scene set before Ric and Shatterstar return to X-Factor Investigations after helping Rahne. They go to Paris and are cute and in love.
The Losers
You can dance right through your life (Jensen/Cougar) - Jensen has to go undercover as a stripper for a mission. Funny and hot and nails the voices of all the characters. Aisha in particular is great.
A Thousand Sounds (Jensen/Cougar) - Jensen loses his voice after a mission. Lots of team snark and team feelings. A really fun story.
The Mindy Project
life line (Mindy/Danny) - An AU (inspired by a WTNV tweet) where people rip their hearts out of their chests to give to one another when they are in love. Awesome. The unique attributes of the universe are blended perfectly into the show's canon, particularly Mindy's love of romantic comedies. Really cleverly done.
Peter Pan
No Unworthy Aim (Wendy/Hook) - Wendy becomes a nurse during WWI, and when Hook dies in Neverland, he wakes up in the trenches. This is so beautifully written and well-researched and generally flawless.
Shameless
wide-eyed walker (Ian/Mickey) - AU where Mickey ditches his family and he and Ian meet and hook up at a bar. Things escalate from there. AU where I cry a lot because canon!Mickey can’t ever have good things like this.
New Girl
Your brand is: Winston! (Winston/OMC, but closer to gen) - Winston-centric story (which should be enough incentive to read for anyone who watches the show) in which Winston is queer and comes to terms with it. Really well done. Nails the voices of all the characters.
Orange Is the New Black
Un coeur rempli de chagrin, les mains remplis de regret - Poussey-centric. Reads just like an episode of the show, if you’re in need of something to tide you over until its return. Gloriously done. The show is going to have to work hard to give her this good of a backstory.
Velvet Goldmine
Anything Out of the Blue (Brian Slade/Curt Wild) - It’s just super pretty, guys. Great characterization. Snapshots from their relationship, and with wild, unhinged, beautiful rock stars who get lost in one another for a little while, that's really all you need.
